Golf : Just a short
stroll up the road is Windham country club. Formely known as Tater
hill, this is a beautifull 18 hole semi-private course complete
with driving range and boasts the longest front 9 in Vermont.
Downhill Skiing : Local area ski resorts
include Magic Mountain, Bromley,Okemo, and Killington. The furthest
distance would be Killington which is a staggering 24 miles away
and hardly enough time to finish your coffee before you have to
hit the lift.
Cross Country Skiing : Can be done on the
property and everywhere around it. The trails in the area are pretty
much endless.
Snowmobile Trails : Start across the road
and link up with just about any trail in New England and even into
Canada.
Hunting : Property contains on a regular
basis, Black bear, Wild turkey, Ruffed Grouse, Moose, and of course
heavy bodied northern Whitetails. Resident landowners do not need
a permit to hunt their own land.
Fishing : Vermont also has some incredible
fishing, whether you flyfish or spincast, there are many great rivers,
ponds, lakes and mountain streams where the fish are plentiful.
The Connecticut river is only 20 mins. away if you're after salmon.
Shopping: If you like outlet stores, then
Manchester is a short drive from Andover. It has most everything
you could possibly want including wonderfull hotels, inns and restaurants.
It is also home of Orvis and the famous flyfishing museum. |
