Land is well marked with
pink ribbon, and small dots of paint on trees. Property has been managed
by foresters for selective timber harvest long before it was bought
by our family and is still managed the same way.
This ensures the health of the land and will provide a substantial
return on investment if it is continually managed and selectively
culled. Last selective cut was in 2001.
We have not bothered to do perc. tests due to the fact that where
a house is put would be a matter of preference, as the parcel is large
enough to offer different views and environments
The only zoning restrictions on subdividing in this area is that lots
be a minumum of ten acres.
We initially purchased this property for a family vacation area.
Moose, bear, wild turkey, grouse, and of course whitetail deer can
constantly be found on the property. Also tiny native brook trout
inhabit the larger stream, and with the proper care and pooling in
areas they will easily reach full potential.
